As part of a week of birthday celebrations planned by my family, they arranged as a surprise for me to go camping with my sons and one of my grandsons Monday and Tuesday. So I couldn’t do a timely Tuesday update.
So here, a little after midnight on Tues Eve/ Wed Morning, I have done the update from Monday’s games. I didn’t want to miss a day when my gut told me first place would change hands. As it turned out, my gut got it pretty much right:
EFL | ||||||

Portland Rosebuds | 63 | 36 | .633 | 0.1 | 517.7 | 388.9 |
Haviland Dragons | 63 | 37 | .631 | 0.1 | 488.8 | 376.9 |
Pittsburgh Alleghenys | 57 | 40 | .591 | 4.4 | 522.3 | 434.6 |
Peshastin Pears | 54 | 45 | .543 | 8.9 | 460.4 | 417.1 |
Canberra Kangaroos | 53 | 46 | .537 | 9.5 | 467.5 | 429.6 |
Flint Hill Tornadoes | 49 | 49 | .503 | 13 | 415.6 | 412.4 |
Cottage Cheese | 48 | 50 | .487 | 14.5 | 481.8 | 490.5 |
Kaline Drive | 42 | 58 | .423 | 20.9 | 486.9 | 571.3 |
D.C. Balk | 32 | 67 | .327 | 30.3 | 386.1 | 560.0 |
That is as close as we’ve ever seen an EFL pennant race get: three teams within 0.1 games of first!
It’s now almost 1 AM, and I need to get up early to do another update on Wednesday. Again my gut foresees a likely change at the top. So if tomorrow is going to be someone’s one day in first, I want to make sure to record it.
