The W’s cling to a narrow lead. The Balk are getting beat by the surging Alleghenys. The Seraphim and Kangaroos are uncomfortably close. The Dragons edged toward the top — 5 teams within 5.8 games of the top.
The Drive continue to confound their pursuers.
The Tornados, well above .500, are matching Preller trade for trade — and lack only Josh Bell to be able to match the trade of the century. FLint Hill — who has traded with almost everyone else in the league — hasn’t even made a tentative inquiry with the Wolverines so far. Bell will be expensive… but that haul of prospects the Nats got is a once-in-a-lifetime.
The Alleghenys are on the rise, Kangaroo-like, only from 22 games further back. The Rosebuds and Cascades continue to sort of idle in the standings — the Cascades desparately short on pitching. And the Pears lack pitching, too, but are doing it from the cellar.
But I don’t have any time to talk more about all this. I have a BUNCH of trades to record before we meet 150 minutes from now.
